Quickstart

This guide will help you install social and run it on your server for the first time.

1. Choosing the correct version

Starting with version 0.4, social is available in two variants:

Modern (PaperMC, PurpurMC, Pufferfish...): Compatible only with the latest Minecraft version

Legacy (Bukkit, SpigotMC): Supports the latest two major Minecraft versions (for example, Minecraft 1.20 and 1.21), but may not include all available features

2. Installation

Install social like any other Minecraft plugin:

1. Download the appropiate JAR file
2. Place the file in your server's plugins directory
3. Start the server

During the first startup, social will automatically:

• Create its configuration files
• Download the required libraries

3. Configuration

When social runs for the first time, it generates a configuration folder containing several settings, including messages.yml, which allows you to customize the plugin's built-in messages.

The default configuration is ready to use and provides a clean and modern message format. However, reviewing the configuration files is recommended in order to adjust features to your server’s needs.

4. Add-ons (optional)
