Quickstart
1. Choosing the right version
Starting with version 0.4, social is available in two different versions:
Modern (PaperMC, PurpurMC, Pufferfish...): Compatible only with the latest Minecraft version
Legacy (Bukkit, SpigotMC): Supports the latest two major Minecraft versions (for example, Minecraft 1.20 and 1.21), but may not include all available features
2. Installation
- Like any other plug-in, the downloaded jar file needs to be put in your server's plugins/ folder
- Start your server at least once to generate the settings folder and automatically download the required libraries
3. Configuration
When you run social for the very first time, it will automatically generate a folder containing its settings and a messages.yml file which you can use to configure the built-in messages.
Although the default setup comes with the necessary features enabled and a good-looking message format, we recommend having a look at each settings file to tweak features based on what your server will need.
4. Add-ons (optional)
social has some add-ons that expand on its featurs:
